Whist travelling the plains of East Africa in the 1920s, Liberty buyer William Hayes Dorell discovered curious cotton fibers close to Lake Tana that sparked his imagination. Back on home soil, the silk-like threads were spun into lustrous form, screen printed with brilliant ink, and turned into a material that would change the textile industry forevermore.
A single Lavender heart, handmade in England from the timeless Liberty of London fabric Tana Lawn Cotton and filled with lavender from Provence France. Lavender is a lovely chemical free way to keep the critters at bay and keep your linen and clothing smelling fresh. It is also supposed to help you sleep. The Hearts make wonderful gifts and are the perfect little something to show somebody that you love or are thinking of them. The drawer scenters are individually wrapped in tissue, so are easy to wrap and send in the post.
These make a wonderful hostess present or gift for anyone who loves lavender.
